Dear All,
We have batch processing in our database(in 9i),since the batch proceesing will be activated from the frontend(vb,asp) we cannot use set transaction statement(bcos we are not in sql)..is there any way like to force oracle to use the big rollback segemnt from the client..
Thanks in advance..
Rajesh

there would be an ugly workaround.
make sure , the application is commiting in regular intervals.
But not toooo frequently.
this will make sure, the rollbacksegment are not getting full and flushed in-regular intervals
