Hi, when I make a BACKUP DATABASE from RMAN, this error appear:

 

ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows

 

I'm using RMAN in local mode with Oracle on WINDOWS 2000 without OMS.

Can anybody help me please ?

first make sure dual table is NOT HAVING more than one record.
and i assume by your posting
I'm using RMAN in local mode with Oracle on WINDOWS 2000 without OMS.

that your not using a recovery catalog.

please try this
first
connect to target database
do a resync
exit out of rman.

connect again and do the backup.

This server is not on production environment, it's only for test, and a few days ago I was trying something and I created a record on dual table. I never thought that this record would break my rman backup :)

its is not just for RMAN.
Many oracle intenal algorithms are dependent on Dual table.
Never mess-up with that.~~
