Hi all,

my problem is as follows:

I exported a complete Oracle database using exp from Oracle 8.1.6 running on AIX (no incremental export or such things). I copied the export (about 4GB in 4 files) to a Sun and tried to import it there into an empty Oracle instance. I just wanted to have the data of a particular user so I used the fromuser= and touser= parameters.

Everything worked fine but one table could not be loaded because imp stated:

IMP-00058: ORACLE error 1438 encountered
ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allows for this column.

Does anybody have an idea?

Thanks in advance

Helge
