hi
i am trying to import data from a file that was exported using personal oracle 8i. Now i am trying to shift data to the deployment site where oracle 8.0.5 enterprise edition is running and when i tried to import the data i got following messages

IMP 00069 Could not convert to environment national character set's handle
AND
IMP 00021 operating system error - error code (dec number, hex 0xnumber)

Please help.

you have to install 8i views for export / import in 805 database( by running catexp.sql available in 8i version of $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin.
and also check your NLS settings.

Any update on this error. I am getting the same error as mentioned above. Since no changes were made to the database, I do not want to make any changes. If the solution gave in the earlier message worked for anyone, then please reply. Thanks.
