We found lots of bug in Oracle 9i.
Moreover, the price of 9i is the lowest, even lower than 8i.
Maybe select 10 or 11 will be a good idea.
Right?

Which version of 9i are you using ? The first release of any Oracle software normally has it's usual quotient of bugs, which are fixed as the patch versions increase.

If you're implementing a new system, then it's generally best to go with the latest version of Oracle unless you've got a good reason not to. There isn't a version 11 of RDBMS yet - you may be getting confused with Oracle Apps 11 - which is a totally different ballgame.

HI,
I am a Graduate student at the Texas A&M University and i was trying to install Oracle 9i.But due to some reason installations gets suspended in the middle.I checked whetehr there is enough space in the TEMP folder as suggested by the Help option in the installer.Could someone suggest me as to what else i could chek to get this software installed.

Make sure you have enough memory (256MB minimum), and shutdown all the services you don't need before you install to free up computing power.
Which version of Oracle 9i? I believe only 9.2.0.5 is the best one among all 9.x version.
Install 10g might be better.
