Hi,

I have to regularly export some tables to a .dmp, zip it and send it thru mail. Is there any option to make a zip file, while exporting self.

Plz help in this regard.

Thanks & Regards'

Nothing by default.
In unix, you can use pipes to read the .dmp file (in parallel, while the .dmp is being created) and great a compressed one.
Windows does not support pipes.
so you can script it ( something like this).

Whatever it is, never edit the .dmp and apply cauting while emailing the file as attachment. The mail transfer may corrupt the file. THe best method is to FTP the file with bin option enabled.
