hi frenz,

Is it possible to change COA for a Set Of Book.
Is it possible to Create a new segment in an existing COA.

If you look in the General Ledger User's Guide, you will find an explanation of the Accounting Flexfield and the Set of Books. It is too large to reproduce here.

If you don't have a copy of the General Ledger User's, it can be downloaded, with all of the other Applications Documentation from http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html

COA defines the segment for each account , the organisation consist of..

the COA consist of accounting structure and code combination

and incase of adding one new segment to one existing COA..

if its compiled/ freezed u can't add
