Can somebody explain that "What is SOB? Why is it required?" As we normally said 3Cs. This is not an enough answer as i had required an answer to be told to Interviewer i.e. short and complete.

There is a definition of a Set of Books in the "Multiple Organizations in Oracle Applications" manual. The "Oracle General Ledger User Guide" contains a section called "Defining Sets of Books". These might provide the information you are looking for. If you don't have a copy of the Multiple Organizations in Oracle Applications or the Oracle General Ledger User Guide, they can be downloaded, with all of the other Applications Documentation from http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html
