In my database records are continously inserted/loaded by
using C / ProC programs...In a day around 6 millions records
are inserted.
Should i keep the archive log on such that it doesn't effect
my performance.

When archive log is on, does redo log generated when
1. data is loaded using sql loader direct path
2. when using bulk collect / forall for insert/update

If you make any DML/DDL changes archive log is going to be generated. There is very very less impact on db if you make your db in no archive log mode, but for availability/recovery purpose you should require archive logs.
Oracle recommends db should be in archive log mode.

Redo logs are always generated, more or less.
lesser in 1. than in 2.
