anybody knows how i can cancel the calling of FND_FLEX
i know it can be called through 'FND_FLEX.EVENT('WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM')

I am validating a field and depends on the validation, the FND_FLEX wont be called

anybody has an idea?

FND_FLEX is not part of the Oracle Forms built ins.

I bet it is part of Oracle Apps.

If you set the item property as valid, WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM won't get fired.
SET_ITEM_PROPERTY(’field_name’, ITEM_IS_VALID, PROPERTY_TRUE);
